Fourteenth Session of UN-GGIM

WGIC has a special relationship with the UN-GGIM as it was at the occasion of the UN-GGIM meeting in 2018 that WGIC came into being. Collaboration between WGIC and UN Statistics Division was marked by the signing of a MOU – a new milestone for strengthening the global geospatial information ecosystem. Since then, WGIC has always enjoyed observer status at the annual Sessions of UN-GGIM. WGIC is represented at these meetings by the Senior Advisor: UN Engagement, Dr Zaffar Mohamed-Ghouse, of Woolpert, and the WGIC Secretariat.

The WGIC Secretariat will undertake a review of the reports submitted by the UN-GGIM Secretariat and the various sub-committees and Working Groups of UN-GGIM, to highlight any issues of interest to WGIC members, and any recommendations deemed appropriate made to the members of UN-GGIM, which are the national government representatives.
