WGIC shifts its headquarters to The Hague Humanity Hub to support and strengthen The Hague ecosystem and connect with diverse actors working to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The Hague, The Netherlands, May 9, 2022 – The World Geospatial Industry Council (WGIC), a global trade association of commercial sector companies working in the geospatial ecosystem, is pleased to announce its membership in The Hague Humanity Hub. As part of this membership, WGIC will be moving its headquarters from Amersfoort to The Hague.
The Hague Humanity Hub is a not-for-profit foundation that connects and enables collaboration between diverse actors working to achieve the SDGs. The growing community at The Hub is active in a number of fields, including peacebuilding, justice innovation, education, humanitarian action, climate action, and development aid, ranging from non-profit to for-profit, start-ups to scale-ups, small local to large international organizations, and academia. By shifting its base to the Humanity Hub, WGIC intends to engage with like-minded organizations within the Hub and leverage the potential of its ecosystem.
John Renard, Secretary-General WGIC, said, “We have been working closely with The Hague Business Agency who introduced us to The Humanity Hub. The timing of this move could not be better, and WGIC is very excited that it will be able to contribute its geospatial expertise and focus to the work that the Hub’s existing members are doing around Climate Change and the SDGs.”

I can think of no better location for us to join forces with like-minded organizations where we can show the power of geospatial technologies, services and data that touch every person every day! We very much want to collaborate with other partners in this vibrant ecosystem.
