The World Geospatial Industry Council (WGIC) will participate in the 2024 Innovate4Cities Conference (I4C24) at Le Westin Montréal, from September 10-12, 2024. Organized by the Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate & Energy (GCoM), a WGIC partner, the conference follows the release of their joint white paper, “Accelerating City Climate Action through Geospatial Data,” published earlier this year.

This white paper underscores the crucial role of geospatial technology in enhancing city-scale data management. It provides actionable insights for local governments to better understand and mitigate emissions, identify climate risks and vulnerabilities, and drive energy transitions.

I4C24 will convene leaders from academia, government, civil society, and industry to explore the intersection of urban development, climate science, and innovation. Join us as we participate in discussions on leveraging geospatial data for tangible climate action in cities.
