DESCRIPTION:WGIC has a special relationship with the UN-GGIM as it was at the occasion of the UN-GGIM meeting in 2018 that WGIC came into being. Collaboration between WGIC and UN Statistics Division was marked by the signing of a MOU – a new milestone for strengthening the global geospatial information ecosystem. Since then\, WGIC has always enjoyed observer status at the annual Sessions of UN-GGIM. WGIC is represented at these meetings by the Senior Advisor: UN Engagement\, Dr Zaffar Mohamed-Ghouse\, of Woolpert\, and the WGIC Secretariat. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe WGIC Secretariat will undertake a review of the reports submitted by the UN-GGIM Secretariat and the various sub-committees and Working Groups of UN-GGIM\, to highlight any issues of interest to WGIC members\, and any recommendations deemed appropriate made to the members of UN-GGIM\, which are the national government representatives.

DESCRIPTION:WGIC is among the supporting and participating associations of the GoGeomatics Expo\, which will bring the Canadian and international geospatial communities together for a national event taking place in Calgary from November 6 to 8. \n\n\n\nThe GoGeomatics Expo and Career Fair aim to facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing within the geospatial sector. The event includes workshops\, demonstrations\, training sessions\, keynote speeches\, and award programs.
