It provides actionable insights for local governments to better understand and mitigate emissions\, identify climate risks and vulnerabilities\, and drive energy transitions. \n\n\n\nI4C24 will convene leaders from academia\, government\, civil society\, and industry to explore the intersection of urban development\, climate science\, and innovation. SUMMARY:Fourteenth Session of UN-GGIM
DESCRIPTION:WGIC has a special relationship with the UN-GGIM as it was at the occasion of the UN-GGIM meeting in 2018 that WGIC came into being. Collaboration between WGIC and UN Statistics Division was marked by the signing of a MOU – a new milestone for strengthening the global geospatial information ecosystem. Since then\, WGIC has always enjoyed observer status at the annual Sessions of UN-GGIM. WGIC is represented at these meetings by the Senior Advisor: UN Engagement\, Dr Zaffar Mohamed-Ghouse\, of Woolpert\, and the WGIC Secretariat. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe WGIC Secretariat will undertake a review of the reports submitted by the UN-GGIM Secretariat and the various sub-committees and Working Groups of UN-GGIM\, to highlight any issues of interest to WGIC members\, and any recommendations deemed appropriate made to the members of UN-GGIM\, which are the national government representatives.
