June 15th and 16th 2021, the Earth Archive Virtual Congress presented several prominent speakers from the geospatial community. WGIC’s Executive Director Barbara Ryan joined in a fire-side chat.
The ‘fireside chat’ is basically an online panel discussion, moderated by Esri’s Dr Este Geraghty of Esri. It’s titled ‘How Public and Private Partnerships Can Help Us Become More Sustainable’. It features WGIC’s Barbara Ryan, Nadine Alameh of the OGC and Steven Ramage of GEO.
Peter Atalla, President and CEO of Voxelmaps gave a great explanation of what ‘voxelizing the Earth’ is: planet-scale visualization and data storage for the Earth Archive.
Gavin Schrock leads a panel discussion with Michael Sitar, Division Manager Airborne Laser Mapping at RIEGL and Kati Fitzsimmons, Business Development Manager with Hexagon.
